Has anyone tried the 155 grain Berger VLD hunting bullets in their .308? I'm fixing to load some up for my new rifle, and was wondering what kind of load some of you might be using. I plan on using Varget powder in mine, just unsure of how much. I also hope I don't run into a length problem since these bullets look pretty long. Any help would definitely be appreciated. Thanks

I found the 155 in my ar-10 and M1A liked to be loaded around 2.85 Right at mag length for the AR. I used 45 grains of A.A. 2520 and groups were good but not any better than 155 Sierras ( new style ). With that said, Both of these rifles like heavier bullets, but it sure was MORE than "hunting" accurate.

Some time back I bought some Berger bullets for a .243. They were old stock and no longer made. I couldn't find data for them so I sent an email to berger. In about 3-4 days Walt Berger sent a reply back with load data. You might send them an email.
