Both of these are pretty old .
I have been gifted a Boice Dial bore gauge model #4 with a # 2 dial indicator that is accurate to .0001"
It can measure 1 3/4" to 3" with the pins supplied.

If anyone needs to borrow this you are welcome.

I also got a Starrett # 196 Universal back plunger dial indicator.
It has ball ends and I think I will modify it to measure case neck thickness.

I have found much variation in pistol brass case thickness and to sort that way may show some promise.

But if anyone needs to borrow it you are welcome.
My neighbor is moving to a new house and these were his grandfathers tools. He said he did not like that guy much.

I was told he was a machinist.
The starrett has one broken piece the holder. I can fix that though.

Both quality sets. :thumb:

I've used many of the Boice bore gages and have the same Starrett indicator set in my tool box. You need micrometers for zeroing the bore gage. Unless you have gage rings for the diameters you want to check that is...
