Brother, I suspect you'll have to go to a gun shop, and try to find a mag that will seat at the correct angle, and do some bending and/or cutting (though you might get lucky). I've noticed taht Marlin and savage seem to do well rough fitting in some of the European "oldies & goodies".
Someone in the UK might have mag bodies, maybe followers or floor plates, but I think you'd be looking at a $70+ .22LR mag if you could even find one or parts to make.

Dude, for that kinda money I would try to make the mag myself. Even if I had to mine the raw materials.
I would strongly consider selling that gun.

I assume it has some sentimental value...? If not, I'd be looking to sell on a BSA related forum. My dad sold a non-running but very clean '54 BSA cycle for a couple of bucks a few years ago.
