Trying my hand at using Solidworks' Rendering package.

If you are wanting to try your hand at some in-depth renderings (ie as lifelike as possible) I suggest you check out Blender. Its a free open source app which has been ported to win32 (just google blender 3d, I think its blender.org or something like that)
The reason I recommend it over the rendering engines in SW or ProE is that while SW/ProE are excellect and far superior at modeling, the rendering engines really dont do it justice. Blender is far superior when it comes to creating materials and lighting and object.
Its pretty easy too, you can save your solidworks as a VRML1.0 and then import the *.wrl file into blender.
Just a suggestion.
