What should my bullet seat depth be for a 147 grain flat nose 9 mm bullet be?

My book says 1.131 but thats for a 124 grain round nose

I looked at hodgen site and it says 1.11 would that be ok?

Hey Ryan! According to Lyman's 49th Edition, your oal should be 1.058. I tend to make mine a little bit longer around the 1.07 area.

I was told that OAL in the Lymans is a mistake. The overall length of 9 mm should be a maximum of 1.169. Most factory is around 1.15, so that's what I seat them to. 1.058 is too short.

I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of 6k rounds fired with this "mistake" in the Lyman's book. I have found no signs of overpressure or anything else to indicate this is a mistake. Who was your source for this information?

It is doubtfull that Lyman would make a mistake like that. They do make the molds. It should be noted that we are referring to cast bullets. 1.115 is correct for the jacketed bullets, 1.058 for Lyman #356637. Now I am not sure of what mold J&K uses for the 147s, but it is darn close if not identical to lymans.
