Buying a bass boat near Tulsa

I want to buy a bass boat. Probably used, but maybe new. Can anyone recommend good trustworthy boat dealers around the Tulsa area? Or maybe what dealers to avoid?

I've also been checking craigslist.com and boattrader.com, and the local newspaper classifieds. Any other suggestions on where to find boats for sale by private owners?

I think you have to register but the boat classifieds are HUGE. Good luck, you do know what they say about the two best days of owning a bass boat are do'nt you? Had my second best day last spring.

We've had a boat for almost 20 years.

Used boats be careful as you can get into alot of maintenance, nothing ruins a day at the lake like a broken boat, most people tend to neglect boats and not maintain them well.

We bought a new boat in 1998 from Bayer Marine. Kenny Bayer is a great guy, and the service from the Dealership has been excellent although we haven't used them much. I would buy from them again without hesitation.

Also make sure you know the lake you are boating on, we totaled a boat in '97 when we hit an underwater obstruction on Gibson. Everyone knew it was there, except us....
