They got rid of a really bad mayor (lori lighthead) and replaced her with an excruciatingly abysmal mayor. This guy's approach to law and order seems to be "we're going to love them into a better way of acting."

Atkins said the purpose of the ordinance is to prevent glorifying the criminal lifestyle.
“Under this ordinance, we ask that people stop associating with and glorifying’ shooters,’ stop glorifying ‘switches,’ and stop wearing those ski masks everywhere which perpetuates you as some ‘opp,'” Atkins said. “When those who live a certain lifestyle try to hang with ‘regular’ class citizens, they put everyone at risk.”
City leadership has repeatedly failed to quell crime in Chicago. In August, Mayor Brandon Johnson downplayed the looting of a 7-Eleven store by 40 teenagers, saying “we are not talking about mob actions.” He also likened such actions to “silly decisions.”
A February report showed that Chicago led the nation in homicides in 2022, ahead of Philadelphia, New York City, Houston and Los Angeles.

I see this working. First 9 am to 9 pm, then you move it from 10 am to 10 pm, then 11am to 11 pm until you only give the criminals a one hour span to fire the guns. This is genius idea. Who would've thunk it. Freaking morons. But, hey they vote for the nonsense.
I’m happy for Chicago. I hope crime rates go up 1000%. Bunch of idiots!
