he has promised to eliminate controversial recent additions to the city’s police landscape, including the ShotSpotter system.

Why is this controversial? Because they only put the system into neighborhoods that are of color?

Exactly what I thought. I have no experience with the technology other than what I have read and the praises of the system by other agencies. Typical Chicago BS of something being effective and works.

I think that shot technology was originally developed by the military to detect snipers. Glad to hear it’s in public LEO use.
