The original "leg lamp" featured in the holiday classic "A Christmas Story" was a divisive "soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window" in the Parker family home, but the much larger display in Chickasha, Oklahoma, is credited with helping inspire a California businessman to invest millions in the city's Main Street.

See it every time we grab a pizza, kinda weird the 1st time I saw it, never saw the movie.

One of the the owners, Tim Elliott; of my company is the man behind the leg lamp. He has been working on this idea for 10 years. My first day on the job we sat in his leg lamp adorned office and talked about it for quite a while. All new employees have lunch with him at the leg lamp on their first day. Pretty cool to see the increase in visitors and revenue to Chickasha.
