Been spending a lot of time in the area, usually use my own land in Blanchard just wondering what the closest outdoor range is and allows plinking. Any distance over 30 miles ill just drive home. And don't wanna go to gunworld. Or there may be a list on here just haven't found it.
H and H is just about 5 or so miles on west of GunWorld, exit right at Meridian, drive one block north, then turn east to get back to the store.
I don't think you're gonna find another OUTDOOR range any closer...there's Canadian Ranges out off Banner Road south of I-40, but I figure Blanchard is just as close and if it's already yours, well, there you go. Lots of us just wish we had a place to go shoot outdoors...but we don't. You're lucky!
Yeah guess I am have a gully beside the house several storms have cluttered it with trees and such guess just have to clean it up, only bout 50-75 yds though nice for plinkin and pistols. Great stress relief for me and I have fired the occasional shot off the porch or out the door or out the window. Some people would say its unsportsmanlike but don't hunt for sport hunt for meat and rabbits will eat up your garden. lol
OKC gunclub is 25mi away, I don't think it would matter if it was 50mi away - facilities are top notch, but it is members only.
Andrei, how do I join said club? By the way, I took my car apart... building the block this go round with a bigger turbo.
I think your best bet would be the Thunderbird Range, which is at 20264 Fishmarket Rd, Tecumseh, OK 74873.
The range owner is Ken, and he is a good guy. It is $10/day. He has all kinds of targets... steel for pistol and rimfire at 15-25 yards; steel for rifle at 100, 200, 300, and 400 yards; and target backers for paper targets at 25 and 100 yards IIRC. Most of the shooting stations are in a covered building with benches. There is also a shotgun range. I think it is about 25 miles from Midwest City.
