it would work just fine.....as long as you get it started straight. and if barrel is thick enough for threads,or right size to start with...if too big,needs machined down...,if too thin, might not hold up to abuse.
I used a similar kit from Brownell's for AK-type threading. Takes a bit of setup, but works good; not great like a lathe - good as in you don't have to remove the barrel and threads are "straight enough" for flash hider. Suppressor - I would take it to a machinist.
