Ok, I posted this in the other thread but got no response.

Pardon my ignorance, but what would happen if this became a Federal regulation? Would I still be allowed to use my 20 round PMAGs since they were bought pre-ban, would I be in violation of Federal law if caught carrying/using them, or is it something that could go either way?

A ban, if handled as they have been in the past, wouldn't impede the ability to own hi cap mags... just buy new ones. It's stupid... its not like a ban will do anything but put more hi cap mags on the market before it passes..

Case in point. I went and shot a match in Brea, CA year before last... every single person shooting had hi cap mags... The state has a ban on anything greater than 10 rounds... how'd they get them? they're pre-ban. There apparently are also folks that buy repair kits and "fix" mags to be hi cap.... not legal by any stretch of the imagination, but legislation won't work, California is proof.
