That hawk most likely nabbed a mouse. I see them all the time out west when driving country roads. They will fly off from near the edge of the road with a scrawny tail dangling from their feet. I can't count the times I've seen it and it's still cool!

Very nice pic, you might could win a contest of some sort with that one...

The bat looks photoshopped but maybe not.

I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt any kind of mesh will keep coons or squirrels out. If the deer can get over it, the coons can and will too. I think those fences are to keep the cows out.
