Whoever said Bill Kilgore had it close, that one is hard to beat. Robert Duvall is in the acting world what Chuck Norris is in the real world, being that he can only be beat by himself. So the best movie scene in my opinion is from Lonesome Dove. No scene in particular, the whole movie. Classic.

Just before 2:30 gave me heart attack.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Duel scene in The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmdAsL1n6q4&feature=fvst

If youre gonna get all sergio leon on us, the scene where El Indio is about to gun fight with Col Mortimer in For a few dollars more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBdBCTvK5zM&feature=fvst

Or the scene from Fist full of Dollars. "My mistake, 4 coffins" They cut out that line in this clip :(

Then you have the scene from Big Lebowski where Maude is showing the Dude Logjammers.

Maude: Lord. You can only imagine where it goes from here.
Dude: He fixes the cable?

And any of these scenes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs8QKXtCN9w

"In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to speak with the almighty."

Then you have Raymond Burr in this epic closing monologue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO-RPSJe4nE

has to be the John Wayne scene from True Grit facing Ned Pepper,... with a close second, most of Duvall's scenes from Lonesome Dove......in particular the San Antonio saloon scene, and the one where Gus explains the Hat Creek sign to Woodrow.

ironic isn't it that Duvall was in the John Wayne scene also ?

Almost any scene from 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Resevoir Dogs',but these standout:

Marcellus Wallace tells Butch to "step aside" and then shoots Zed in the crotch with the shotgun.

Butch pushes the bathroom door open and Vincent is on the toilet and he sprays him with his own machinegun that he got off of the kitchen counter when making the poptart after going there to get his watch that his dumb girlfriend had left behind.

Butchs girlfriend sees the chopper and asks,"Whose motorcycle", and he says "its not a motorcycle its a chopper", and then she asks "whose chopper is it", and he says "its Zeds", and then she asks "who is Zed", and then he says,"Zeds dead baby...".

The "I dont tip scene" in the beginning of 'Resevoir Dogs'. Or the scene where Joe is picking out their new names and Steve Buscemi's character doesnt like 'Mr Pink' as his new name. Or when Mr Blonde is dancing before slicing the cops ear off. Mr White telling Mr Blonde "you shoot me in a dream and you better wake up and apologize".
