I just Checked cheaper than dirt and they Are now selling pmags for $79.99!! Who In their right mind would pay that price! I don't care how hard they are to find right now. They also have some mags from imi defense. Says Israeli military industries. Does anyone know anything about them? They are even selling gi mags for $99!!

Gouging as always. You guys can say its just business and I can say its not. There ammo used to be only a little expensive but since all this panic buying they've more than doubled their prices and charging way to much for pmags where there are other sites offering good deals on backorders. Don't even get me started on their beta mags I looked last week and they were $700, that's $4-500 more than what you can get them for. I have never done business with them nor will I ever now. Rant done.

They've gradually raised their prices, so someone IS buying them.

People gripe, but it's the guys standing outside of Academy and posting up links to "good deals" that are just as much at fault.

The fundamental lack of knowledge regarding capitalism and how it works exhibited by some members here never ceases to amaze me.

Selling price has absolutely nothing to do with fairness, cost etc. It's all about supply vs demand. The higher the demand (very high demand for gun related stuff these days) and the lower the supply the higher the price.

If you can sell 100 pmags at $79 a piece because so many people want them that they're all out your door in a day or two then you ought to be raising your price because the $79 price is no where near the equilibrium price set by the interaction of supply and demand.

That's what drives capitalism.

At a more detailed level - yeah - $79 for a pmag seems high to us because we have plenty of AR mags on hand and we aren't willing to pay $79 - reduced demand. But for those that don't (have plenty of AR mags already) who want more (increased demand) $79 seems perfectly reasonable. Rest assured if CTD couldn't sell their inventory at $79 each it wouldn't be priced at $79 each.

One doesn't need a PhD to grasp that simple concept.

Sometimes I wonder if some of you are closet socialists.
