Ran across some videos of a CZ 455 Trainer rifle and have been really impressed by some of the stuff I have read on the rifle. Especially concerning accuracy and build quality.

I have also seen some talk about the Savage and Marlin in comparison to the CZ. What are some opinion's on these rifles?

In my opinion, Savage and Marlin don’t hold a candle to CZ. I may be a little biased though. I have a 457 MTR with multiple barrels allowing me to switch calibers, and a 452 military trainer. Both are wonderful rifles, with a great aftermarket. With my MTR I can get 3/4-1 MOA groups at 50 yards with decent ammunition, even better with match ammo.

I have a cz varmint precision trainer and a ultra lux which is a regular trainer with the 28.6 barrel. The VPT with geco bolt will shot less than an inch at a 100 and ultra lux with the tangent sight easily hits inch targets at 50. I had a tricked out 10-22 and my czs easily out shot it. All I have done is increased strength firing pin didnt have any issues with the factory. The VPT also has a yodave trigger spring and shim kit.

Out of the 457 and 452 which one do you like better?

CZ all the way. I’ve got a couple and they are fun accurate rifles.
which models do you have and which one do you prefer all around?

My experience with the Savage and Marlins are they are decent little inexpensive guns, but they are not close to the quality of CZ. The barrels for the 455 model are interchangeable, so you can convert to .22 LR, .22 Magnum, and .17 HMR easily (I think there's one other caliber available but not sure). I assume that's true of the trainer as well? Extra conversion kits were about $140 per caliber last I checked, unless they've gone up since then.

It’s a toss up honestly, they’re very different rifles. My 457 is a bull barreled accuracy machine, the 452 is a classic, lightweight rifle. Haven’t shot the 452 much, but it is at the disadvantage here because it doesn’t have the flexibility of switching barrels. If I had to pick one it would be the 457 due to flexibility.
