these 3d printed guns are a joke anyway, 20x more expensive and 20x less strong. Why not just make your receivers out of sheet metal or a garden shovel:

It is more of an option for places where it is a lot harder to get things like parts kits and 80% receivers/frames. I agree though -- just about any home made zip gun would be preferable to that thing.

It is not so much the "thing" which is important here, but the idea and symbol it represents.

Ya, but one shot undetectable guns aren't that hard to make and for a whole lot less than the cost of a 3d printer.

I am not arguing that, I am just saying that is the excuse they are using. We all know this is about tyrannical abuse of power.
Sometimes one shot is all you need. Matter of fact, most of the time it's all you need.
