My preferred style is the new XPS2-1. It has a single D1 red dot reticle and not the big A65. I prefer the single dot. I had the 511 D1 and this is nicer because it uses 1 C123 style battery and it's shorter in length.

I have a 512, I like that it uses AA batteries, I always have them on hand. It was also fairly cheap at $388 plus shipping
Where did you buy it from? Also what is the differance between the 552 and the 512? I think those are the two I going back and forth with.
I got mine from cheaper than dirt, be sure and check the price from each warehouse I think warehouse c was the cheapest when I got mine. The difference in the 552&512 is the 512 is not nightvision compatible

I like the C123 style batteries since they're smaller and keep the size of the HWS down. I have a box in my gear bag. A box in my rifle case. The rest of the batteries in the battery drawer at home.
