F 250 with v10

Looking at buying a 99 f250 with a v10 gas motor. My question is 214,000 miles considered high for a v10 motor?

Friend of mine, hers had about that much on it before it got hit and totaled. was 4wd automatic ext. cab short bed. ran good, sucked gas, and pulled horse trailer (3 horde slant i think) all over.

21,400 miles is too many for a Ford v-10. Run for your life.

If it was owned by a young person with a heavy foot, or has been pulling a 38' fifth wheel its entire life, then no way. Maticuous previous owner with regular and prevenative maintanence, and the price was right, then I would consider it.

That's tough on that motor. Buddy yanked his V10 out of his Excursion and swapped in a rebuilt Cummins and loves it lol

Had F350 with V10 at work , wouldn't have one unless I got gas free

That motor, well maintained, is good for more than 300K. A poorly maintained 7.3L is good for 500,000 plus. The V10 will get 10mpg no matter what you do with it.
