Fiber Optic Front Sight on Ruger SR1911

I ordered a Novak Fiber Optic Front Sight for my Ruger SR1911 LW 9mm CMD off the shopruger.com website, had it installed down at Big Boys and then tested it out today. Man, I have become a real advocate of fiber fronts; it sure helps me pick up that front sight so much better! The pics don't do it justice, but it's a bright green under the indoor lights at the range, and seems to be equally as good outside.

I've really started to appreciate fiber optic sights. I've handled a 1911 with two red f/o tubes on the rear sight, and a green f/o tube on the front. Highly visible! The green front sight stands out clearly between the two red f/o tubes.

I'll be sure to have it at the ENS; in fact, it's often on my hip anyway; it's one fine handgun, and with this new front sight, it's even better.
