I took a friend hog hunting on "free" hunting land in Oklahoma and I went through some thick terrain with all kinds of obstacles.
He threw up 2 times.
Yea a couple months later he found he had a heart issue.
Was mentioned here and I mentioned it to him a couple days after the hunt.

Oklahoma has some rough to hike/ walk areas and can test you.
Especially if you do like I do.

Cordage, clothing, knife, rifle and into the woods you go all day without food or water.
There is food and water in the woods and even if not 1 day without will not kill ya unless you are medically challenged of course.

You want to quick draw go during small game season and hunt like that.
I did years ago with an SKS and found out 110 gr HP will vaporize a rabbit.
Fur 6 feet up into the trees and never found that rabbit.
Bunny go poof! :P

I'm interested in getting more into this lifestyle.

I'm getting into law enforcement this December.

I have all this gear.. now what?

I don't own any land, I don't have places to run drills and work on recce things, see what gear setup's work, etc. I do have land I could use but shooting would be a hard no..

I don't want a militia or dumb red neck **** like that im just looking for a place to enjoy my gear and maybe shoot from time to time.
So, your new to this theater and need a place to train your cadre? (some old timers may remember that one)
Welcome to OSA!

Red castle outdoor range your best sanctioned place to train from the draw. Membership or be someone's guest required.
DSA with Marshall Luton offers some interesting training opportunities.
It's getting hard to find a public range that isn't static.
Ponca City Range allows full auto, drawing from the holster, and rapid fire. There are ranges out there that don't have draconian rules.
