and so it begins.

this is actually VERY good. it will open peoples' eyes to the double standard being applied and the unconstitutionality of what this judge is trying to do.

now we just have to hope enough people will pay attention AND care enough to do something about it.

while not commenting on the judge's actions, lets keep this quote from the article in mind,

"The mosque believes wholeheartedly in the Koran and its teachings," attorney Paul Thanasides said. "They certainly follow Islamic law in connection with their spiritual endeavors. But with respect to secular endeavors, they believe Florida law should apply in Florida courts."

As well as the fact that, while the money does come from the state, it was payment for land used for a road according to the article. Islamic law or no, the money belongs to one of them.

What part of the Islamic law belongs in the US? I thought we were assured this would not happen would never happen. It has to start somewhere doesn't it.

Wow. So you actually read the article? Since you've read the article, don't you feel a responsibily to recuse yourself from this thread?

Even though they also “believe Florida law should apply in Florida courts.”, and appealed the ruling to the Federal courts. The Judge should not have had any option to rule the way they did.:twocents:
