Why are they upside down? Attention to detail people. Right side up and they'd sell like hotcakes.
Ha! Hi-Points have been called everything from hammers to bricks (both of which are extremely reliable btw).
Throw in a lifetime no-questions warranty, and you have a po' boy's friend.
I'd certainly rather have a Hi-Point than a box of rocks, canned goods, or hockey pucks (that have been suggested for classroom defense by some idiots).
