Your picture isn't working.
Also, there are 4 possible firing pins depending on several factors. (Numrich has the most likely one listed, but I have found the bolt assemblies sometimes get changed or barrels get replaced over the years. This throws off proper identification.)

The best way I can help is for you to post the following pictures:
1. The hammer and bolt assembly removed from the rifle. Top, bottom, and side view.
2. Remove the stock and get a picture of the trigger and lifter assembly.

This will hopefully give me the clues I need to narrow it down for you.

Yes, that is a poorly stamped date code. That should be full circle and have a # in front of the letter. Luckily the letter is all that's needed to date it.
In your case; C=1951.
That lines up with the # of patents listed on the barrel and the overall action design.
