I like the mini 14 that just seems a bit high for used.

Thanks for the info! I am a huge fan of the mini-14. I dont want to spool up the AR guys, I know the mini is not as accurate and doesnt have as many gizmos to attach, but they sure are reliable. I like 'em!

I also am a fan of the mini 14. I prefer the wood furniture over the plastic though.

Who needs MOA at 100 yrds when you can have 'pie plate' accuracy at 10 yrds? Sweet!

I like the Mini-14, but they are finicky about magazines and the ones that work are expensive.

I know there's good on both sides, but if I can buy mini's this cheap, why upgrade to an AR?

One thing about these LE trade ins.
They are usually well maintained by Ruger.
I bought one about 5 years ago and through its life with the LE dept, it had been back 3 times for service.
All you need is the serial number to verify with Ruger.
So typically they are in excellent mechanical condition
And the Finish isn't all that great.
