Good trade? Taurus PT111 for G17...

Well I found a like new G17 in the pawn shop and I have a brand new pt111 9mm. Would it be worth a trade plus $150? I would rather have the Glock due to resale etc, but don't want to get ripped off. These Taurus's are pretty cheap though it looks like...

will the pawn shop let you break the glock down to really check it out? Some people would consider a decade and 5000 rounds down the tube being "like new" for a glock.

Well I actually called it like new. It seems to be in great shape. Clean, feedramp are clean etc. It's also a gen 3 with rail etc. He wants 425 for it.

I would probably do it. If I wanted the Glock that is. It's a far, far better gun than the Taurus.

if he only wants $425 then the trade is only so so. sell your pt111 for $325-$350 then just pony up the diff. Lot better than the deal on the table.
