Heavy Sand For Rear Bag In Tulsa

Well I read the article below about using heavy sand in the rear bag so I bought some today. I finally found it at Canfield & Joseph (a foundry supply business). I paid $28.46 for a 50lb bag of chromite. If you’re interested in this their number is (800) 364-5452.

What type of rests did you use and was 50# just enough or more than enough? Thanks.

I bought a Protektor 13A.

I'll probably use about 10lbs.

The 50lb bag is the smallest they sell.

That's not a bad price considering what 15# of chromite goes for from Sinclair.

Well I received the rest today and filled it. It's obviously high quality. With chromite sand the protector 13A weights 8.4lbs.

Would any of you put a leather conditioning oil on it?

Are you using this in competition? If not tungsten shot from a dive shop might work.
