New Product Approval Process (NPAP)
A series of sporting rifles designed to comply with US firearms import laws.
Pap stands for "Polu-automatska puška/pištolj" or semi-automatic rifle/pistol. N-Pap are basically made with new stock parts, 1mm receiver, and many were originally single-stack mags. O-Pap were made at the Zastava factory with original surplus parts, have thicker receivers (1.5 mm vs. 1 mm), and were made double stack from the get-go.
