I'm pretty sure that the riff on the Michael Jackson song, was played by Eddie Van Halen, on the original album.

Real rock bands - horrible slaughter .... no rhythm ... no soul (starting with 12, 13, 14, 18 and so forth, and what he does on 66 just needs another "take")

Just because you can hit the chords doesn't mean you SHOULD

I guess not everyone is so "music" sensitive.
