Hunt Brother Pizza is definitely going against the anti-hunters, anti-gunners and the PC police

Odd that they are only in some of the worst neighborhoods in KC. May have to brave the one in Raytown.

Ahh, I see now. These are filling stations. Not pizza joints. Only pizza I ever ate from a gas station is QT's breakfast pizza. That's pretty good, though.

There are some convenience stores around here that sell it. It's not bad for frozen pizza at a gas station but it's nothing to get excited about.

That's actually the only place I've seen them is convenience stores. Definitely one of the better gas station pizzas, though. Quality can vary from station to station - some see it as just another hot goods revenue source while others see it as a way to get people in the store.

My wife works with a woman who owned a couple of gas stations. They said they made their money on the store and zero on the gas.

Yes, gas is just to get them in the store. Sales inside the store determine their profits. Our Hunt Bro's pizza crew does a great job. They know us, and when we ask for extra ingredients, they pile it on.
Our store is across the street from a casino gas station that has cheaper gas, so they stay in business with the pizza and store sales.

IMHO, I would imagine that pizza and brewskis make up a pretty good part of the sales/profit margin at convenience stores----especially on weekends.

That's definitely right. What I'm saying is the ones who see it as just another hot goods revenue source just follow the instructions to heating it up and keeping the rack full. The ones who see it as a way to get people in the store will try to make adjustments so that the pizza becomes a quick lunch or dinner destination. They'll keep the racks lean during the slower hours and even throw out pizzas that have been on the rack too long.

I've stayed in several small towns where the pizza at the gas station across town was better than the pizza at the pizza place next door to the motel. Quite often the pumps would have no cars pumping gas, but the tables would be full and there'd be a line for pizzas.
