Mix up a quart of peroxide and 1/4 cup of baking soda with a squirt of dish soap and pour it on the dog, rub it in and rinse him off. The smell will go away instantly and completely. Just keep it out of his eyes.

Unfortunately,... She got hit right in the face every time. So I think I'll just let it fade away on her. Not much I can do about her face. After every shot to the face,.. She'd run off to the dirt,.. rub her face full of dirt,.. then go back for another. How dumb can you be??

Not worried about rabies,.. she never got close enough to get infected. She could only get about 3 feet from the damn thing.

I feel ya. I'm currently housing a friend's Husky mix, and this dog is so slow to react or to do anything. She doesn't jump or bark or freak out when she encounters a skunk, even after being sprayed. It's like:

Pffft!

Uh, why did you do that?

Pffft!

I don't understand...

Pffft!
Of course, she's the only long-haired dog in my pack :rolleyes2
