Is this normal for an upper

I was looking at one of my uppers and noticed under the ejection port it bulges out, is that normal is it safe, or should I call the maker?

The first two pictures are of the questionable one and the last is of another upper for comparison.

I have to guess that they did something wrong when they put it together. Tweaked it, dropped it, who knows.

Call them and tell them to make it right and make sure they don't stick you with the costs of doing it.

NOT normal. Someone didn't clamp the upper correctly when they installed the barrel...... It's probably over torqued too.
