Is your storm shelter ready?

Mine is good to go with water, food, luggable loo, etc. Really hot in there with both adults and 200 lbs of furry dogs! Thinking of having A/C ducted with a shutoff that will normally be kept closed.

Just cleaned ours tonight. I need to get a 9'X6' rubber mat to put over it to keeps all of the leaves and other debris from blowing into it all the time.

This is a good ideal. I need to do the same.

Already bug sprayed twice and swept this Spring. Lanterns and candles are ready.
Just hope we don't need it.

Mine was pretty clean (and bone dry as usual). I think I'll set off a bug bomb down there when I think of it.

I made my daughters sweep out the pine needles and junk they put down the vents to our shelter. All clean and good to go now.

I don’t keep much in there because I know several of my neighbors have before and will come again in any real event. I thought about all the things I would want down there but other than lights, H2O boots/shoes for kids and a few other things I figure space is by far the most important. The more people I can get down in there the better!

Mine would be ready if I had one. Still on a couple waiting lists, wrong time of year to suddenly find the money to put in a storm shelter.

No spiders, mice or scorpions. Cleaned it out last week.

Blankets and chairs sitting by the back door. All the other stuff on a shelf, down in the shelter.
