I planted 12 sunroots last year with basically no effort. I dug a spot few inches deep and maybe 12” across, stuck one in, and covered it with about 1” of soil.
Each one produced almost a 5gal bucket of tubers.

I can’t eat all these things, and they don’t store well out of the ground.

I realize this isn’t the classified section, but if anyone wants some of these to try out and have on hand, just drop me a PM.
I’d be glad to mail you some for a shipping fee.

I hate wasting them.

Nice.
Can you possibly scrub those clean with a brush and running water then grate them up and make hash browns from them.

Looks like what i would try to do with them.
I never heard of these. Had to google them.

Now I want to pull up a wild sunflower and see what is underneath it :)
