My girlfriend's grandfather showed me a little jewel while I was visiting. He has the original box, instructions, cleaning brush, and extra recoil spring. Right side grip is cracked, but the blueing is beautiful, looks like 90% conservatively? It was taken off a captured German officer in WWII, and brought home by his father, a member of the 29th division as a souvenir. He is curious about it's value, can anybody help?

It appears to be a August Menz out of Suhl, Germany.

Standard Catalog puts it at around $400 to $450 depending on what exact model it is. I would think that with the original box, paper and goodies it might bring a touch more but not alot.

It's kinda neat that he has it all together.

I dont think captured means he took it off someone, I think it means he "found" it while in Germany. He could have "captured" it out of a nightstand drawer while in Germany.
