Two hunting buddies use the .204 for varmints on occasion, they've tried the Bergers and Noslers, sometimes they do well, sometimes they explode. Lot's of velocity to deal with, sounded like no two shots were comparable. You'll see a 100 different recommendations on the web when search too.

I shoot both the berger and the varmint grenade. My savage doesn't like anything heavier than about 40 grains. 34's are my best weight for what I have been able to find. They do really bad things to coyotes. I really think I get a little better performance out of the bergers. Hope that helps.. Jim
