Yes, I've handloaded slugs for my SXS Muzzle loader 12 ga percussion gun. it's a time consuming process. I have yet to shoot them through a chrony to see what speed I'm getting. I suspect I'm low on my powder charge by design. i'll work up the speed when I get time to get back into it. Love to shoot a deer with it.

I load the pellet gun looking slugs in Win AA cases and a red plastic wad. I forget the designation of the wads and the powder charge (I use a ghetto Lee Load all, lol). I tried them in a smoothbore improved cylinder, 18" tube. Worked "okay", about 12 MOA. Tried them in a rifled tube, shot terribly. Keyholing, 20 MOA, etc. THEN I shot them in a plain jane full choke and a modified and the things hold a solid 6 MOA. This off my elbows using nothing but the front bead.

YMMV
