Yeah I am sorry, there is no need to make people holster draw and or off hand shoot. Give them the basics of the class and the requirement of the law and if they so chose to go further in their training leave that up to the individual.

Its stupid I agree but what ever happened to accountability? Who in their right mind would point a loaded weapon at their chest WITH their finger on the trigger AND a bullet in the chamber. Blaming the instructor is a cop out quite frankly.

But like I said sure its a bit unnecessary however real life scenarios are never what you would expect either. If one of the trainees were in a scenario where one of these came in handy, guess which instructor they would be thanking?
