While I was at H&H getting my pistol fixed I thought Id pick up a few extra mags. The mags the had were Ruger and were all black where the ones that came with the pistol have a red and silver eagle on the bottom. We could not get any of the all black mags they had to lock in. You could push them in but they would never latch you could just pull on them and they would come right out. The red and silver mags that came with it work just fine. looking at the mags i can not tell any difference. Has anyone else had this problem?
I think those Black Eagle mags are for a MKII not a MKIII, it also seems like you can use MKIII mags in a MKII, but not MKII mags in a MKIII.
The mags are for the MKIII. They were labled for the MKIII and they have the notch for the MKIII mag release where the MKII mags do not
I have a MK I, MK II and MK III. The MK I has the Black Eagle, the MK II has a Silver Eagle, and the MK III has the Red Eagle. Sounds like the package could be miss marked. I have bought extra mags for all mine and never had any problems..
