Mountain Guns

I have a 625 and a 657 mtn gun. I'm still suffering from "sellers remorse" for having sold the 625 in 45acp.

Never even knew that one existed, very nice! I love my S&W 329PD and consider it my "mountain gun" because its so light and easy to carry. Kicks like a cussed mule though

I had a stainless 625 mountain gun. Shot good with CorBon 265gr+P JSP and 250 Keith over 15gr IMR 4227

Have a 629, really enjoy shooting it now after fitting it with X frame grips

What's not to like about them? Although, I prefer the earlier pre-lock guns, that's still a beauty.

It’s just a specific design from Smith and Wesson, pretty much a 4” tapered barrel that was lighter than the heavy barrels but without losing performance while still on a big frame like this N frame. Also have chamfered cylinders and some other small things. Says mountain gun on the side as well.they are great guns

Anywhere Smith could safely shave weight off of the gun, they did. I love mine.

They’re fun to shoot with 44 Spl ammo not so much with magnum. I’m considering selling mine because of lack of use, but I’m afraid of seller’s remorse.

Sold mine to a very close friend and mentor of mine. He still hadn't shot it and that was 2011.
