Mt Rushmore area Trip,WOW!

Just returned from Rapid City SD area after visiting for 4 days. The Aspens and Ash we're a level of yellow that was out of this world! The Black Hills area this time of year has replaced Egle Nest ,NM as my favorite place in the USA ! Had asked .y sons to spread my ashes via air over Eagle Nest when I pass. That has now been changed to the National Forrest south of Spearfish instead! Rushmore and all the other areas to see there , in my view, is a treat NO American should miss in their lifetime!

Glad to see you enjoyed your trip. Autumn colors are always a treat.

However, something is wrong with the forum as none of the pictures loaded.

(Wife and I are planning a trip to Tenn/Ala/Mississippi to see and photograph the colors along the Natchez Trace Parkway later this month or early November.)

Yes we did! The plans they have for it completion is well beyond most of our lifetime to complete. The university will also need to be completed .

Thanks for the recommendation. Just read it to my wife. I wanted to go to that area in general this summer, but she chose Red River NM and Colorado for a month. Now I have a more focused ideal of where to go.

Yeah, on the RV forum I'm on people will post up pics of their vacations in and around the Black Hills and it looks truly amazing.
