My son is thinking about joining the national guard. He has a bsme and is 33 yrs old. Also has msie.
He's got about 2 years max, probably a year, unless he can get a waiver for something, so he should be doing and not thinking. 35 y/o is the cutoff without a waiver. What does he want to do?
I don't know what them diseases is but penicillin is cheap and ya don't hafta join the army ta get it.

Tell him to go into the UAV field.
The first conversation with the NG recruiter needs to include OCS to find out if the option is even available to him. The toughest thing will be if he has his heart set on getting his commission as an Engineering branch officer as there are very few such slots in the OKARNG.
