I will be heading out west to S. Broadway St in Tecumseh this weekend coming down I40 from the east. Not knowing the road conditions or construction going on, just wanted to know the easiest route. Turn on 9A, go down to Earlsboro then 270W to Tecumseh, or keep going west then turning on 177S and going by Shawnee and coming in that way. Would like to stay on 4 lane roads unless they are clogged up with construction. Thanks guys.

If you want to stay on four lanes you will need to take I-40 to 177. It's a bit out of the way through. You can cut through Shawnee but depending on the time of day, traffic can really slow you down.

You could also take 9A south to Hwy3 west through Shawnee to 177.

If you want to stay 4 lane, I-40 to 177 BUT there is some construction on the bridge south of Shawnee, no traffic backups at all though. Not going to spOklahoma by chance?

Edit to ad that the construction on the river bridge is done.
