I called Hornady and they are having me send them the brass so they can check the hardness. Thanks for stepping up HMFIC, we'll see how things go with Hornady.

No problem. Looks like Shiner has a real neck turner too so ought to be able to get this sorted out one way or another. Hope Hornady can give you some information.

Also, If you do want to get an exact measurement on your chamber, get some Cerrosafe to do a chamber casting and you can determine the exact dimensions.

I've never used cerrosafe, but I've also heard that people use some combo of graphite and sulpher and they claim it works much better.
