I keep wearing out the fingertips in all of the gloves that I've tried, no matter the type or brand. I've gone through about 8-9 pairs of gloves since January, Mechanix, Plainsman, thick Walmart specials. I mainly wear them when felling trees, bucking rounds, and splitting and stacking firewood. Anyone use or know of some gloves that will last more than a month?

you ever consider getting chain mail gloves? they don't keep your hands free of dirt but cannot be worn through.

I like these. Would steal them from my wireline crews when I was working at Halliburton, they're probably one of the best work gloves I have owned, fit and durability wise.

Second place goes to Magid TREX gloves, these fit really nice and are pretty durable too. I prefer the leather palm of the Ringers, but these fit nicer. also a lot cheaper.

Third place is probably the Mechanix Mpact leather palm gloves. Overall I am a fan of mechanix gloves, they aren't great, but they do their job, fit well, and are easy to replace. The more traditional style ones are my go to shooting gloves.

But, at the end of the day, all gloves wear out, fall apart, or wear down. They're definitely consumables if you actually do enough work with them, and the work you're describing is especially hard on gloves. I say just find what you like, then buy them in bulk to save money. Or, you could always just make your hands as tough as possible, and accept the fact that you'll eventually have to sacrifice a finger or three. But that's why you have ten, or so I am told. You can save a lot of money on PPE if you never use it.

I also like Mechanix for shooting and keep a pair on a carabiner hooked to my plate carrier.

I think I might check out the Magid TREX gloves.
