Looking for recommendations for a cat5 or cat 6 network cable test equipment. Anyone have hands on experience with cableiq, signaltek, jdsu or other certifier. I'm wanting snr, skew and crosstalk measurements. I would like to keep the unit under 3k.
Might check the pawn shops, I've seen em there occasionally with the multimeters.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't know that I have time to look for one so I will probably buy one new.

Probably not, this is to verify my own new wiring (gigabit). But if I can get something to go that high for a decent price that would be okay too.
If it is a one time sort of deal I'd just hire it out. If you just really eat the tester or are in the Biz. I'd look into an Agilent 350 or if you could spend a little more. A fluke 1200. You can get used certified ones on eBay with lots of nice extras
The DTX1800 is the best out there but way over the OP's budget even used. I think we paid like 11K for the one we had
