new receiver to put charger barrel on

any one know of any pitfalls on ordering new 10-22 receiver & putting charger barrel on it

Ruger won't sell you one.
nodak spud and others make aftermarket ones.
you could probably buy a whole charger for less than it would cost to piece one together.
If the receiver is marked 10/22 and you put that short barrel on it it will be a SBR and you will need a tax stamp

got a M.O.A. stainless receiver , realiy nice cost me 10 bucks for FFL , have not had the barrel on it but the bolt & trigger group fit. & i might have a few more bucks in but it anit got no aluminum receiver
