You might consider cutting/filing the sight down and eliminate the insert altogether.

I cleaned the DW today, it was dirty.
I do not think it has ever been cleaned. A couple of corrosion spots in the barrel, but better than I thought it would be. a new barrel is only about $60, if it effects its accuracy.
I do not understand why anyone would buy a Dan Wesson, never clean it and let it rust.

I always have JB quick and JB weld on hand.
E 6000 is another great epoxy but takes 72 hours to fully cure.. not good for forming things. but great for sticking things back together.

200 bucks for a gun is more my speed I like it as is.
and would probably shoot it and see what it was capable of with some cast loads.

For the epoxy I’ve used the gorilla glue epoxy stuff from Lowe’s. Never used it on a gun but I have put a lot of knife handles on with it. Great stuff!
