hello all, I'm new here and looking for suggestions on an AR. Looking for a varmint style with capabilities of 500+ yards while still accurate at 200. Suggestions welcome. Thanks, and by the way, the name's Jeremy.

My recommendations on that would be the longest barrel commonly available so as to squeeze out the most fps as possible. That will help with the elevations needed between 200 and 500 yards. I have a 24" DPMS upper that will stack holes on top of each other at 100 yards all day. I haven't had a chance to shoot further distances yet, but that kind of sub-MOA is what you'll need as when you get out further and further the inaccuracy multiplies. There are much more expensive options out there, and I'm sure they are somewhat better, but for your first venture into a long range AR, I'd go with something like that based on cost. I picked mine up on gunbroker for $499.
