You saved me from that truck. I looked at the ad dozens of times.
I knew by the description that the engine was probably toast.
I fired it up and sure enough had a couple cylinders not working and the combustion
pressure going into the radiator tells me the head or gasket is busted.
Sounded like maybe a cam lobe down also.
I bought it in that condition and almost got the engine out of it so i can tear it down and see what I am working with.
If you wanted a driver with minimal work this one is not it.
I knew that though.
I will make it run very good and either keep it or sell it.
I will drive it for a bit and see what MPG i can get and see if it pulls my pontoon to the lake better than the 57 chevy.
It is going to get ported heads and a 268H cam on a 110 LSA advanced quite far probably on a 101 or 102 intake centerline.
Help build cylinder pressure down low to get this heavy chevy moving.
It has the 14 bolt rearend and I have not checked the gear ratio yet.
